Good Faith Clinical Examination
Before receiving a medical aesthetic or wellness treatment, each patient must complete an appropriate clinical evaluation to determine whether the requested service may be safe and medically appropriate.
Why This Examination Is Required
Mobile Aesthetics MD requires an appropriate Good Faith Clinical Examination before a patient receives a medical aesthetic treatment or other medical service. The purpose is to evaluate relevant health information, identify possible contraindications and determine whether the requested treatment is appropriate for the individual patient.
The examination is part of our clinical safety process. It is not simply a booking form or administrative approval.
Important: Completing the examination, scheduling an appointment or paying a deposit does not guarantee treatment, medication, a prescription or a particular outcome.
What the Examination May Include
The examining healthcare professional may review information relevant to the requested service, including:
- Current and previous medical conditions;
- Allergies and prior reactions;
- Current medications, supplements and recent treatments;
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding status, when relevant;
- Previous surgeries and aesthetic procedures;
- History of infection, scarring or healing concerns;
- Treatment goals and expectations;
- Potential contraindications or risk factors;
- Vital signs, photographs, laboratory results or examination findings when appropriate; and
- Other information the clinician considers necessary.
The specific evaluation depends on the patient, requested service, applicable clinical standards and the professional judgment of the examining clinician.
How the Process Works
Provide Your History
Complete all requested medical-history, medication and treatment-information forms accurately and completely.
Meet With a Clinician
A qualified healthcare professional will conduct the examination in the format considered legally and clinically appropriate.
Receive Next Steps
The clinician will determine whether to proceed, request more information, recommend an alternative or decline treatment.
In-Person or Telehealth Evaluation
Depending on the requested service, the patient’s physical location, provider licensure and clinical circumstances, the Good Faith Clinical Examination may be completed in person or through an appropriate telehealth encounter.
A telephone call, message or questionnaire alone may not be sufficient in every case. The examining healthcare professional may require a video visit, physical examination, vital signs, photographs, laboratory testing or another form of evaluation before making a clinical decision.
Some procedures always require an in-person assessment before treatment. Mobile Aesthetics MD will determine the appropriate evaluation format for the requested service.
Possible Examination Outcomes
The Good Faith Clinical Examination may result in one of several outcomes:
Eligible to Proceed
The clinician determines that the proposed service may be appropriate, subject to final confirmation on treatment day.
More Information Needed
Additional records, laboratory testing, medical clearance or an in-person evaluation may be required.
Treatment Not Recommended
The clinician may recommend an alternative, postpone the service or determine that treatment is not appropriate.
Treatment-Day Reassessment
Clearance during the Good Faith Clinical Examination does not eliminate the need for a treatment-day assessment. Before treatment, the treating healthcare professional may confirm:
- Whether your health or medications have changed;
- Whether a new contraindication or safety concern exists;
- Whether the planned treatment remains appropriate;
- Whether informed consent has been completed; and
- Whether it is safe to proceed that day.
Treatment may be modified, postponed or declined if new information or clinical findings make that appropriate.
Your Responsibility as a Patient
Safe clinical decision-making depends on complete and accurate information. You are responsible for:
- Answering health questions truthfully and completely;
- Providing an accurate list of medications and supplements;
- Disclosing allergies, previous reactions and relevant conditions;
- Reporting pregnancy or breastfeeding when applicable;
- Following pre-treatment and post-treatment instructions;
- Asking questions when information is unclear; and
- Informing us promptly of any health, medication or treatment changes before your appointment.
Withholding or providing inaccurate information may make treatment unsafe and may result in postponement or cancellation.
When a New Examination May Be Needed
Clinical clearance does not necessarily remain valid indefinitely. A new or updated examination may be required when:
- You are a new patient;
- You request a materially different type of treatment;
- Your medical history, medications or health status changes;
- A significant amount of time has passed;
- A prior clearance has expired under applicable protocol;
- A clinician identifies a new safety concern; or
- Applicable law, professional standards or clinical policy requires it.
The examining or treating healthcare professional will determine whether an updated evaluation is necessary.
Not the Same as Informed Consent
The Good Faith Clinical Examination determines whether a service may be clinically appropriate. It does not replace the informed- consent process.
Before treatment, you will have an opportunity to discuss the proposed service, expected benefits, material risks, alternatives, limitations and relevant aftercare. You may decline treatment or withdraw consent before the procedure begins.
Prescriptions and Medications
A prescription will be issued only when a qualified prescribing clinician determines that it is medically appropriate after an adequate evaluation. Completing the examination does not guarantee access to any medication, dose or treatment plan.
Compounded-medication disclosure: Compounded medications are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The FDA does not review compounded medications for safety, effectiveness or quality before they are marketed.
If prescribed, compounded medication will be supplied through an appropriately licensed pharmacy. Availability and eligibility are subject to clinical judgment and applicable requirements.
Privacy and Secure Communication
Information collected for the examination may become part of your health record and will be handled according to applicable privacy requirements and our Notice of Privacy Practices .
Do not submit diagnoses, medication lists, medical records, treatment photographs or other sensitive health information through a general website contact form, ordinary email or standard text message unless our team specifically directs you to an appropriate secure system.
Fees and Appointment Policies
Any examination, consultation, laboratory or related fees will be disclosed through the applicable booking or clinical process. Professional evaluation fees compensate the clinician for time and medical decision-making and are not dependent on whether the patient is approved for a requested treatment.
Scheduling deposits, cancellations, rescheduling, late arrivals and no-shows are governed by our Deposit and Cancellation Policy .
Emergency and Urgent Concerns
A Good Faith Clinical Examination is not an emergency service. Website forms and routine appointment communications may not be reviewed immediately.
Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department if you are experiencing a medical emergency. Contact an appropriate licensed healthcare professional promptly for urgent medical concerns.
Good Faith Examination FAQ
Does completing the examination guarantee treatment?
No. The examination allows a clinician to evaluate whether the requested service may be appropriate. Treatment can still be modified, postponed or declined based on clinical findings.
Can the examination be completed on the same day as treatment?
In some circumstances, yes. This depends on provider availability, the requested service and whether there is enough information and time to complete an appropriate evaluation before treatment. Same-day treatment is not guaranteed.
Can I complete the examination by telehealth?
Telehealth may be available when legally permitted and clinically appropriate. Some patients or services require an in-person evaluation, examination, vital signs or testing.
What should I have available?
Have your identification, complete medication and supplement list, allergy information, relevant medical history and details of previous aesthetic or medical treatments available. Additional information may be requested.
Will I need another examination later?
Possibly. A clinician may require an updated examination when your health changes, you request a different service, significant time has passed or updated clearance is otherwise clinically appropriate.
