General information
About Your Care
Learn about our clinical approach, providers and evaluation process.
Who provides care at Mobile Aesthetics MD?
Mobile Aesthetics MD operates with physician medical direction and clinical oversight. Basmah Rana, MD, serves as Physician and Medical Director. Shafaq “Shana” Awan, MSN, RN, provides aesthetic nursing services within her applicable professional scope and established clinical protocols.
The healthcare professional responsible for a particular evaluation, prescription or treatment depends on the requested service and applicable professional requirements.
Is a consultation required before treatment?
An appropriate consultation and clinical evaluation are required before medical treatment. The evaluation may include a review of your health history, allergies, medications, prior procedures, relevant anatomy, treatment goals and possible contraindications.
Scheduling or paying for a consultation does not guarantee that a particular treatment will be recommended or performed.
What is a Good Faith Clinical Examination?
A Good Faith Clinical Examination is a medical evaluation used to determine whether a requested treatment may be appropriate. It is part of the clinical safety and treatment-eligibility process and is not merely an administrative booking step.
The examination must be completed by an appropriately qualified healthcare professional. Additional examination, testing or medical clearance may be required depending on the service and individual circumstances.
Learn more on our Good Faith Examination page .
Does completing an intake form establish a provider-patient relationship?
No. Submitting a website form, requesting an appointment or completing preliminary information does not by itself establish a provider-patient relationship. That relationship is established only through an appropriate clinical encounter and acceptance of care by the treating professional.
Are results guaranteed?
No. Treatment response, recovery, duration and results vary among patients. No specific aesthetic, medical or weight-related outcome is promised or guaranteed.
Your healthcare professional will discuss reasonable expectations, potential benefits, material risks, alternatives and limitations before you decide whether to proceed.

Aesthetic Treatment Questions
Treatment selection depends on an individualized clinical assessment rather than a predetermined package.
How is an aesthetic treatment selected?
Recommendations are developed after considering your concerns, relevant medical history, prior procedures, anatomy and realistic goals. Not every product, device or procedure is appropriate for every patient.
Can I receive treatment on the same day as my consultation?
Same-day treatment may be available when sufficient time has been scheduled, the required evaluation has been completed, informed consent has been obtained and the treating professional determines that treatment is appropriate.
Treatment may need to be scheduled for another day if additional information, medical clearance, product preparation or a different appointment format is required.
What should I expect after an aesthetic procedure?
Recovery varies by treatment and by patient. Temporary redness, tenderness, swelling, bruising or other treatment-specific effects may occur. Your provider will give you individualized aftercare instructions when treatment is performed.
Follow the instructions supplied by your treating professional rather than relying only on general website information.
When should I contact the treating professional after a procedure?
Contact the treating professional promptly if you experience an unexpected reaction, worsening symptoms or anything identified in your treatment-specific instructions as requiring follow-up.
Seek immediate emergency care for severe or rapidly worsening symptoms, difficulty breathing, loss of consciousness, severe chest pain or another possible medical emergency.
Are aesthetic services available through telehealth?
Certain preliminary consultations or follow-up discussions may be available through telehealth when legally permitted and clinically appropriate. Procedures requiring physical examination or administration must be completed in person.
Medical weight management
Weight-Loss Program Questions
Prescription treatment is never automatic and is not appropriate for every patient.
Does joining the program guarantee a prescription?
No. Completing an intake form, paying a fee or attending an evaluation does not guarantee that a prescription will be issued.
Medication may be prescribed only when an appropriately licensed prescriber determines, following an adequate medical evaluation, that it is clinically appropriate and legally available.
Are compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide FDA-approved?
No. Compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide are not FDA-approved. The FDA does not review compounded medications for safety, effectiveness or quality before they are marketed.
A compounded medication may be considered only for an individually identified patient when the prescriber determines that it is medically appropriate and applicable legal and compounding requirements are satisfied.
Does the practice sell medication without an evaluation?
No. Prescription medication is not sold or provided without an appropriate medical evaluation and a valid patient-specific prescription. Medication selection, prescribing and fulfillment are subject to clinical judgment and applicable law.
Can a weight-loss appointment be completed by telehealth?
Certain evaluations and follow-up appointments may be completed through telehealth when the patient is physically located in Georgia, the treating healthcare professional is appropriately licensed and telehealth is clinically appropriate.
The clinician may require an in-person examination, laboratory testing, medical records or other information before making or continuing a treatment recommendation.
Is a specific amount of weight loss guaranteed?
No. Individual response varies, and no specific amount or rate of weight loss is promised. Recommendations may include nutrition, physical activity, behavioral strategies, monitoring and, when appropriate, prescription treatment.
Where is prescribed medication fulfilled?
When medication is prescribed, fulfillment depends on the prescription, patient location, medication availability and applicable requirements. An appropriately licensed pharmacy may be used when permitted.
Pharmacy, shipping or medication costs should be confirmed before purchase because they may not be included in every consultation or program fee.
Appointments and fees
Booking and Pricing
Confirm the applicable services, fees and policies before authorizing payment.
Does submitting the contact form confirm my appointment?
No. The contact form submits an appointment request. An appointment is confirmed only after Mobile Aesthetics MD accepts the request and provides confirmation.
Are prices shown on the website final?
Website prices may be starting prices or estimates. Final pricing depends on the selected service, product, treatment area, individualized plan and any separately disclosed pharmacy, laboratory, shipping or follow-up costs.
Applicable charges will be explained before they are authorized.
Does paying a deposit guarantee treatment?
No. A deposit reserves appointment time but does not guarantee treatment, medication, a prescription or a particular outcome. Clinical eligibility is determined independently through the appropriate evaluation.
What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Deposits, cancellations, rescheduling, late arrivals and missed appointments are governed by our Deposit and Cancellation Policy . Please review that policy before scheduling.
Does Mobile Aesthetics MD accept health insurance?
Coverage and payment arrangements depend on the service. Many elective aesthetic services are not covered by health insurance. Patients should confirm pricing and payment responsibility before receiving care.
A future direct primary-care membership, if offered, will be governed by separate terms and should not be considered health insurance.
