Microneedling

Redness, swelling, warmth, and tightness are normal. You may also see pinpoint bleeding, which should resolve within 48-72 hours.

Heavy makeup should be avoided during the healing process, but tinted sunscreen can be worn the day after the treatment.

Use gentle skincare focused on hydration and SPF protection. Avoid active ingredients like Vitamin C, acids, and retinol until your skin heals.

Strenuous workouts can generally be resumed 24 hours post-treatment. Avoid other skincare treatments like facials or dermaplaning for 4 weeks.

PRFM/Exosomes

Swelling, tightness, and bruising are common and typically last 48-72 hours. Full healing can take up to 10 days for bruising to resolve.

Ice or cool compresses should not be applied as they can inhibit the efficacy of the treatment.

Makeup and sunscreen should not be applied until the day after the procedure. We recommend using mineral-based products.

Sleeping with your head elevated for 48 hours can help manage swelling.

Dermal Filler

Swelling, bruising, and tenderness are common and can last up to 96 hours. Bruising may take up to 7 days to heal.

It takes a full 4 weeks for dermal fillers to integrate into your skin tissue and for the final results to appear.

Strenuous exercise should be avoided for the first 24 hours as it can enhance swelling.

If you experience signs of vascular occlusion such as severe pain, skin discoloration, or abnormal bruising, contact your provider immediately.

PDO Threads

You may experience swelling, bruising, and tenderness, which should resolve within 3-5 days. Full results can take 4-8 weeks.

Avoid excessive facial movements, including smiling broadly and heavy chewing, for 2 weeks after the procedure.

You can take Tylenol for pain management, and ice can help with bruising.

Contact the office if the threads become exposed, visible ridges develop after 4 weeks, or if a hard, painful nodule forms.
